These things happen

If you will allow a longish post, here goes... There are pics towards the end of the post you can jump to!

A year back, i was a diligent Lilies stitcher. Every night i would stitch Lilies, every day once in office i would enter how many (roughly) stitches i had crossed the previous night. I would then zealously provide mid-month and month-end updates. I also had a couple of other projects on the go, and together i would have material to blog about too.

Now, 12 months later. Lilies is my first UFO. I have two ongoing projects with Sticklounge, both in their 'last' SAL part, both waiting to be stitched. Waiting for a less-tired, a-bit-more-enthusiastic me. And this me is tired by 10 -10.30pm. I am not sure if it is the day starting early at 6 or the morning circus with getting both myself and my son ready for school/office or the driving or the hectic day in office. Somehow by the time my son has had his dinner and me mine, my eyes droop.

Stitching and blogging have totally taken a back seat. I have read interesting books too. I also did a recent book-haul as well in a used-books bookshop i just love. I am also trying my hand at baking every now and then. And a year back when one of my friends said she is too tired to take up stitching, a-totally-addicted-me had incredulously told her come on try just for 30 minutes. I now can imagine her state then which is my state now, LOL.

I am doing a bit of reading though. Reading a chapter here and there when my son watches TV is working for me. But i dread taking my stitching out as he will be all into feeling the fabric and the floss and so on. It will work me up. I have tried this couple of times, and i just cannot have my stitchy projects / needles / scissors / floss given a decko like umpteen times a minute. So it has to be in the night. But when does stitching get its respectable place back, i wonder?

Blogging has taken a back seat because of busyness at work - this i should still be able to tackle if i give this time during the weekend - my son does allow me computer time from time to time, LOL.

I have to try that the thirty-minute thingie myself tonight...

....

Like about a month later after writing this, my HNA looks like this:) Yes, these things happen too.
 A  closer look...
A recent haul of books now on my bookshelf

Thanks for your patience with me. As you can see, i 'type' stuff but do not get around to posting it.

Wishing you all a great week, and enough stitching time:)

  2. We all stitch when we can, sometimes more, sometimes less. All part of the life cycle. Glad to hear from you and see some stitching happening.

  3. Hang in there Sharmila! Life just gets too busy sometimes and it's hard to do everything. I have barely been stitching this year and I wish I had more time but there's just too much to do with work, family, love and friends. We'll both find time and energy soon.
