Mid month milestone, and also how i got my first GC!!

This April milestone got derailed a bit as 15th was a Friday. Now is the earliest i could post!

As usual, lots and lots of dangling threads. There were far too many confetti stitches, that my pace had slackened and my nights off stitching are the highest for this page. For those of you are interested in numerology, i am putting some weightage to the fact that this is the thirteenth page (#4). To cite one more point, i took till the end of the second month to complete stitching Page 4.

There are about 650 stitches more to this page to consider it done. We will see how long it takes;-)

I was reading While I was Gone by Sue Miller sometime back, and this part (read the first para) made so much sense to me - he is the husband - have you felt this way too?

I have finished the Oberhundem sampler, but not taken a pic yet. I am thinking i will finish finish it and then take a snap:)

Here is my next project with Sticklounge called Freundschaftsherz, just completed part 1. This is designed by Atélier de Circé. We have the word 'friend' in different languages being cross stitched, and also friendship-based quotes in different languages. Fun, right? I love this piece, and i have found a new 'good' floss combination - Anchor # 130 and # 150. The lightest in there is Anchor #168.

To cheer you up for the week, here is a unique wedding invitation! This couple must be having a funnier (happier?) take on life!!! Pls biggify the pic to read the finer details.

To end, i am sharing some pics of my son, the first few are from his summer camp, the last one is with his Mamama, my mother taken yesterday. It was her birthday, and we (my parents, my husband and i, and T) had been out for lunch.

Talking of his pics, yesterday we were watching his baby pics (first 4 months) and now i can see how much he looks like his father in those pics!!

How i got my first GC!!
In the 123 weekly wish list, i had wished for two floss required for my Lilies project that are not available in Anchor India. Ann, whose giveaway i had won previously (and who had also sent me the Jan/Feb 2011 Just Cross Stitch Magazine) responded to my wish within minutes of my posting it! Isnt she sweet, ladies?!! And Friday i got a parcel from 123. I guessed it must be the floss Ann sent me. And then i open the parcel of course *giggle*. Along with the 2 floss, was an envelope that i only had to open. Out popped the GC worth 15 dollars!!! OMG!!! Ann, thank you for this wonderful gesture, you made my weekend special, again!
Wishing you all a great week ahead and enough stitching time to keep you sane if not happy!!
