Hmm, feels good as i have finished this block of BOINK!! As you know, i have replaced the black with red, i also replaced the green and original red with light blue. I have now consumed one full skein of red so far. Also for the purists and the BOINK enthusiasts who remember the pattern very well, i have left the light green (the orginal was light green, but i had gone with lemon yellow for my project) blank, so they match up with the diagonal block.
For whatever is remaining of January nights, i wil take up the birdie from the center column.
Apart from this i have also been working on another quickie SAL which will be my first finish of 2010, as it is quite a disciplined SAL:)
26th January i understand was Australia Day. It aslo happens to be India's Republic Day. The Republic Day of India commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force. Here is a Rangoli pic from my office that i snapped!
Isnt that cute, ladies?? Rangoli is an art form that involves decoration done with white and colored powder.
Happy Republic Day - love the artwork.
ReplyDeleteBOINK is looking good. I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteAnd Rangoli is new to me. Very pretty and interesting technique. I'll have to Google it to find out more about it.
